Back to School Children’s Fashion Show: Wednesday, August 18, 2010
Summer is almost over, and before you know it, your children will be packing their backpacks. Send them off to school in style with a preview of the latest fall fashions from Bering’s, Itsy Bitsy Boutique, Saks Fifth Avenue and Target. Your student will be voted best dressed! Bring a new or gently used children’s book to donate to benefit Reach Out and Read! Don’t miss this opportunity for a fun evening with your children. Ballroom doors open at 6 p.m., and the program begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by a delicious spaghetti supper.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $12.50 for children and free for children age three and under. No cancellations after August 11.

September sizzles with the League’s longstanding tradition of Opening Style Shows! Join your friends and enjoy the season’s launch of timeless, classic and contemporary collections from Elizabeth Anthony / Esther Wolf. The exclusive specialty store will showcase exquisite day to evening American and European designers and Fall 2010’s hottest looks. Save the date for one of two fabulous luncheons, or indulge in an evening of cocktails, dinner, fashion and fun.

Wine Tasting with Malcolm: October 1
Oktoberfest Junior League Style! Join us as we travel down the Rhine and up the Mosel valleys to explore some of Germany's most elegant and aromatic wines selected by the Junior League of Houston’s General Manager, Malcolm Rowland, and superbly matched with regional German cuisine. This delicious five-course dinner is limited to 100 attendees, so make your reservations early.

Spooktacular Member Mixer: October 25
A good time that is out of this world! Music, spirits, and frightfully delicious tidbits from our spooktacular JLH kitchen. Trick or Treat your friends and be prepared to meet new ones at this very popular event. Informal modeling by boutique, Tres Chic.

Holiday Tabletops and Decorating Ideas: November 3
The Linen House, Swift and Company and florist, Carol Crowsley partner together to present fabulous table top concepts and decorating ideas for the holidays. You will leave with stylish ideas for entertaining this holiday season! A must-attend event for do-it-yourself party hostesses!
